This article outlines the troubleshooting steps you should follow if you are seeing the error message "Cant detect reader" on your Gatekeeper LCD screen, or in the GymMaster system. This will often appear as members being unable to check in at the reader, and the reader displaying no light, or a red light.


Tick the checkbox after completing a test and use the Notes fields to record the outcome

Instructions:

  1. In GymMaster, navigate to Settings > Door Readers
  2. From the reader list, identify the problem door, click the [Edit] button
  3. Under the Gatekeeper Configuration section, check which Gatekeeper Socket field is selected
  4. On the Gatekeeper, check which port has the door reader connected
    • 'Reader 1' = Door 1
    • 'Reader 2' = Door 2
